What started off as a little, cool, hip, music festival has evolved to the biggest party in the Southwest. For those of you who are indy music and film junkies like me, you eagerly await every year for South by Southwest (affectionately called SXSW).
This year the economy maybe bad, but the great escape in the Lone Star State is the little spot of heaven called Austin, TX. We get to “chillax” for a couple of weeks and lose ourselves.
For me, PulpLizard, and my experiment called BigDPlace, this is the first year we will be attending SXSW. Super intern Mari, and I will check out the first weekend—the film part of the festivities.
Make sure you check out this site for new movie reviews, interviews, and awesome photos. And The PulpLizard Show will air two special shows that week!
Dear Fans, Friends, and potential Sponsors,
Our writers, photographers, and designers work really hard to make BigDPlace and PulpLizard happen. We rely on the kindness and contributions of sponsors and donors to keep us going. We are a small production. We don’t get paid. But we are very passionate about this site and are happy to volunteer our time.
If you would like to become a sponsor during this “festival season” please contact Liz Casanova, the editor. We have four levels of sponsorship. Donations will go to feeding and housing our staff during these 2 ½ months of reporting. It will also go towards gas and website maintenance.
But you don’t have to be a big corporation to help. You can shop at our new online store. Or go to Paypal and give what you can.
Thank you so much for making this possible!
Yours,
Liz Casanova
