I was afraid artist/actress Andrea Fellers would hang up the phone and never call me back after we had severe phone connection problems.  But that was before I got to know the super cool babe.

“Okay try this last number,” she said very good-naturedly.

So after the fifth try, I finally got through but not without some sweat on my brow.

“There must be something in the atmosphere,” I said, “The stars must not be lined up right.”

And Andrea answered, “That could be true.  Do you believe in Astrology?  I totally do.”

But the stars must totally adore Andrea, because she is one of those rare people who constantly encounter the good juju.  She is one of those women who is beautiful, talented and makes it seem so easy.  Oh, yeah, like anyone can just walk into a studio and get a job.

Well, maybe it wasn’t always so easy.  When Andrea was a young girl in Austin she realized that she was more outgoing and different than the other kids.  She first showed her acting chops as Rumple Stiltskin in her grade school play.  That’s when she knew in her heart she wanted to be an actress.  But she kept this secret pretty well hidden.

After the sixth grade, Andrea and her dreams moved to Chicago where she occupied herself with tennis.  But the acting bug wouldn’t leave her alone until finally, she made a brave decision that changed her life.

Her junior year in high school she did so well in tennis that she had a tryout pending.  But instead of going to the tennis tryout, she secretly auditioned for a play in the city.

“I was outgoing and expressive and I always knew this is what I wanted to do,” she says.
